Regarding Health & Safety

Practicing CPR requires strenous activity.  If you have a medical condition or disability that might prevent you from taking part in the practice sessions, or if you have any questions at all about your ability to participate fully in the course, you should discuss it with your healthcare provider, employer, and/or our customer service representative before you start the course.  Please feel free to dress comfortably and if you have long hair, a hair clip may be helpful.

If you have a cold, sore throat, cuts or sores on your hands or around your mouth, or believe you have been exposed to an infectious disease, you should reschedule your course.  For the health and safety of other participants, you may not perform skills on manikins if you are ill or have cuts or sores.  Without performing these skills, the instructor cannot give you a passing grade in classes in which manikins are utilized.

Late Arrival

All courses begin at the scheduled time.  In order to maximize training time, session start times are firm.  Participants arriving more than 15 minutes after the scheduled start time may not be admitted into the class resulting in a forfeiture of course fees.

Cancellation, Transfer, & Refund Policy

If you are unable to attend the course for which you are registered, a minimum of two (2) business days notice must be given to the Red Cross.  Failure to notify the registration desk via phone (515-246-6304) will result in forfeiture of your course fees.  We do not accept cancellations on the website or via email.

When a transfer request is received prior to the two business day window.  One transfer to a new course will be allowed.  A second transfer will result in an administrative fee of $10.  Transfers beyond this will result in re-enrollment at the full cost of the course.

When cancellation notice is given prior to the two business day window, a $10 administrative fee per course will be deducted from the refund amount.

Refunds will not be granted for "no-shows" or unsuccessful completion of a course.

We reserve the right to reschedule or cancel classes.  This may occur due to poor weather or low enrollment.  If a course is cancelled, we make every effort to contact participants by phone and/or email prior to the class.  Registrants in these courses need to reschedule or request a refund within 10 business days after the cancelled class.
